Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in serving our neighbors with The Giving Room! We have a variety of opportunities to help.

Every week we need over 40 hours of volunteer time!

Here are the weekly commitments we need to schedule, ideally a month in advance. Some hours are flexible, reach out to get started.

Mondays

Setup team

7:30am–8:45am | 3–4 people

  • Setup food and label bins for guest shopping
  • Setup tables and chairs for intake and guests

​Intake team

9:15am–1:15pm | 2 people

  • Welcome guests into lobby
  • Add to database, provide number and menu
  • Assist guests with community resources
  • Work with team downstairs to update menu and send guests to pantry area
  • Clean up after 12:45pm

​Pantry team

9:15am–1:15pm | 4–5 people

  • Welcome guests into pantry area. Explain grocery process. Monitor amounts.
  • Fill fridge/freezer order
  • Clean up after 12:45pm

Thursdays & Fridays

Drivers*

9:30am–10:15am | 2 people

  • Pickup food donations (PCC, QFC +)
  • Unload food in Giving Room at Epic Life Church
  • Sort produce, store fridge/freezer items

*Must have a vehicle with space to load up to ten boxes of food. See photo example below. Typically drivers will stay to sort.

10:00am–11:30am | 2–3 people

  • Unload food in Giving Room at Epic Life Church
  • Sort produce, store fridge/freezer items
